Of course they need to suck up to the US. We buy most of their products. I doubt that it will come to the point that you describe. I recall we kept screwing the Canadians on trade issues and those polite people kept going to the WTO and other world jurisdiction, that we put in place to screw others, and kept winning the arguments. We still screwed them at the end regardless.
