Mastercard news...MasterCard First Company to Introduce SET Pilots in Every Region of World with Banamex's SET Implementation in Latin America

mastercard.com:80/press/971021b.html

For those of us who didn't know what "SET" was.
SET Secure Electronic TransactionTM -- Setting the Stage for Safe Internet Shopping

mastercard.com:80/set/

The site shows what internet shopping might be...
(time consuming)
mastercard.com:80/set/demo.html

Can anyone explain the IDX and SET connection or point me in that direction. Brad talked about SET in an earlier post, the possibilities would seem to put money in our(IDXrs) pockets instead of Mastercards...

Thanks Carey, There are new analysts watching this site all the time. I think the links are very important, ever if they are the competition sometimes. I'm sure someone in Randy's group follows the thread, and it may help them keep ahead of the competition. Also, if one of our products is being used or being copied illegally, IDX can track them down. The Barclay Bank thing is very interesting, Vitrex, and Frisco Bay Industries. If we are not dealing with the Frisco Bay people, we ought to be as they are breaking into the Canada Airport market and time and attendance. I may call them and ask whose technology they are using.

Also the New Zealand project in Healthcare, called "Hospro-W" looks like a nice program partnering with Fingerscan. The part I liked about that was the mention of windows like interfacing.

From recent article found by Steve

Barclays Bank is testing several biometric systems internally. Bill Perry, senior project manager, emerging markets group, at the bank, says: "We have implemented a number of fingerprint systems including one from Fingerscan, for physical access control around our head office at Northampton, including to our card bureau where we manufacture magnetic cards. We've been using them for two years and they work very well."
