Lindy, you are focusing on today. These things do not happen today. They develop over time.

The inflationary aspect of things will take 18-24 months to set themselves up.

We are not the only game in town.

Have you noticed the Yen and the Swiss franc in the last week?

The USD is in a bubble because of the crisis. Short term treasuries are indeed the safest thing around. When the crisis passes, the hot money will leave them and the dollar will plummet. Did you not see what happened to T bonds last week? The yield went up substantially. These are the first signs.
