luck has little to do with making money in stocks.

Blaming "insiders" is just sour grapes.

The thing to do is learn the rules of the game and play well.

In the long term, changes in AMAT stock price are proportional to changes in EPS.

In the short term (less than 12 months), changes in AMAT stock price are controlled by the Book-to-Bill ratio, backlogs, analyst recommendations, semi makers building plans, the general level of anxiety and uncertainty in people's minds.
