That would be a great idea. I can't believe the time BB wastes answering these questions that any idiot could look up for themselves in newspapers, magazines and dozens of on-line sources. I know BB has to appeal to the masses, but I find these questions really boring.

As for your radio show, maybe you are just pitching the wrong station. I'd call the guy you wrote and if he's not interested, try another station. A problem may be that most radio stations may feel there isn't a large enough audience of people investing in individual stocks. It may seem there are a lot, but percentage wise, it's a fairly small crowd compared to those who are into sports, cooking, politics and other talk show themes. Good luck.

I have a few, scattered, thoughts without really giving the idea much study.

1. If you rule out speaking about mutual funds, you may be alienating too many of your potential listeners. There are probably many more people who are forced into decisions of which fund to select in retirement accounts, 401k's etc., than there are individual stock investors.

2. Is the station's GM worried about liability? Is he concerned that some listener will loose all of his money and then sue the radio station?

3. I'm assuming that the station programs consist primarily of talk shows. If not, find another radio station.

4. Give the GM hard numbers showing that there are more listeners to investment shows than any other type of show. If this isn't true, then you need to show him some other facts that will convince him he will make a lot of advertising money or his ratings will go up.

5. Find a sponsor(s) who will buy most or all of the commercial time during the show, maybe even at premium rates. It will be difficult for him to turn down sure money.
