I think markets are too big for anyone to conspire- SP pits take care of irrational exuberance, only they know how to rattle the shorts and the longs. Pits are the greatest movers of short term trends but market fundamentals determine the long term move. I doubt that predictions of gloom are going to help anyone- for me market direction will now depend on a good ECI Wednesday testimony and NAPM next week -if things are on course we will see a lot of short covering- these bears don't realise that bulls run their positions every day on back of their fears- these stories and rumour mongering is a integral partof markets. It helps consolidate markets.
