Seems crazy doesn't it? Now I don't know exactly what is being paid off and what isn't, but for the taxpayer to be making these whole, in the case where bets were made without owning the mortgages, well, a sweet deal once again for the banksters.... Our government REALLY dropped the ball here. ESPECIALLY in view of how greedy and reckless operations like Cassano's were... I guess that's why Greenspan said he was 'shocked' at the 'lack of internal industry governance' <ggg>...
