GREAT find Peter! That chart is exactly what I've been saying for some time...For example....

Wonder how many people realize that if we didn’t have the tech revolution we did starting with Microsoft about 1980 to about 2005, we wouldn’t have had such a difference in those with high pay versus those with lower pay. Most people wouldn’t have had the number of good jobs if it weren’t for the huge amount of new business growth as a spin out from those High Tech companies.

The companies (Microsoft, Realnetworks, Costco, Vulcan, Starbucks, Apple, and all the hundreds of etcs) eventually produced huge salaries, bonuses and stock options for their employees.

The Dems as a whole probably realize that, as many of the new companies were founded by Democrats…However, for vote mining, it was better to minimize that part, and continue with the centuries old “you are a victim of big, bad, business” which used to be more of a Republican stronghold.

Obama is just playing to this, but you'll notice he hasn't mentioned that he KNOWS the reason for the high end salaries. He does, I'm sure. Most of the Dems supported his candidacy with big donations.

BUT Obama plays the unions and their members....He wants them to think in the past, and that they are not getting "their fair share"....

All people can get their fair share if they will work to that goal...get schooling, education in the proper technical studies to do the work, get good enough technically to maybe start their own business, and all that that involves.
