I monitor a bunch of threads, and you can see a huge change in the 'company specific' ones over the past decade. During the inut period, threads like CSCO and DELL were manic, whereas now just about all the company specific threads are totally dead. In turn, threads like this one have taken off. As for the market, yeah, it's a tough read, but I really wonder if some folks have gotten too negative over the past months.
