I do believe Obama tends toward fascism. I don't know whether our country might collapse into a fascist state or not.

I think Obama sees himself in a similar way as FDR did. Wilson was a fascist but couldn't develop the power to make it happen. FDR almost did. Had he been successful in taking control of the courts I'm not sure he could have been stopped.

So, it would be consistent with Obama's overall philosophy to create a form of fascism here if he could get away with it. I honestly don't know whether he can amass that level of power or not.

As pointed out earlier, Rs are gaining strength right now and that may be all that stops him. I don't think he can do it before the 2010 elections, and if the Rs take away a little of the domination in Congress, I think he can be stopped.

I don't think his brand of fascism would ever be something like Hitler's.
