Hmmm, the spirituality of winter in the city... The knowledge that God is testing me as I run across the crosswalk dodging cars who refuse to give pedestrians like me the right of way...The feeling of oneness with mankind as people stick me with their umbrellas and briefcases as they crush as one big blob onto the subway train...Experiencing the wonder of nature as snails come out from hiding and feast on newly planted pansies and other annuals...Hearing God on High as fenders meet in a crescendo of metal on metal sounds after rain and oil mystically meet and cause tires to lose traction and cars to collide after the first rain...Scraping the ice off car windows in the morning while chanting, "Serenity Now!" and realizing that there is bumper to bumper traffic waiting ahead... This is winter in the city and the knowledge that He is omnipresent, found in the mighty waves and mountains, and there in tiny bacterium and even Alan Dershowitz.
