<<<<flu.........don't you think the flu is effecting 'hardware' more than 'software'?
.......yes......but don' forget that this is a "knee jerk" reaction. people think there will be less demand for PC's around the globe due to the asian flu and that the $1000 PC will have low margins--and they sell off hardware first. but eventually it will spread to software as they realize that less PC's means less need for software--msft is down and so is orcl.

i agree with your philosophy about buying these companies now. there is NO QUESTION the net will be an ABSOLUTELY HUGE worldwide phenomena. and, fianancials are the place where most net activity is NOW occurring--a harbinger of big big things to come, imho.

think of all the people who said, "i wish i could have bought msft, or intc, or oracle" etc., 10 years ago. well, my friend, this is our chance--we just need to find and stay with the winners in this horserace--so far (with justice dept help) it is ckfr, xcit, and intu (of course i also am long cisco and would buy more if i see a drop and am looking hard at lucent).

aren't you glad you sold that real estate--i wish i had more cash i would drop everything into this sector on drops--as you are doing.

good luck.
