I have listented to a lot of Krugman. You may be right, but Krugman did win the nobel prize. And he had the neo con/ayn Randian crowd nailed years ago in his book "The conscience of a Liberal".

We'll see.

Saw Krugman on PBS tonight. He said Geightner has not defined the problem correctly. As you well know, the first step in decision theory is defining the problem correctly.

So Krugman feels obama is using the wrong approach. Krugman may be wrong, but I feel he is in the same league with Bertrand Russel, Max Weber and John Keynes.

So, Krugman should be taken seriously by Obama.

And Frank rich. No smarter journalist.

If banks buy and control all of these toxic assets, they will put a lot of preasure on lien holderes to perform and that could squeeze the economy instead of expanding it, it seems to me?

Then the fed will need to print even more money to capitalize the banks adequately. which is what Krugman and others are saying should be done now.
