FIDO, I'm on a Mac and use Schwab. They do have StreetSmart for the Mac. Although, I use their web access since I can have several browsers open at once checking charts, real-time quotes and movers at the same time.

I agree with other's statements about Schwab vs other discount brokers. If you're in this game for quick trades at the best fills saving around $10 (e.schwab rates) isn't worth the chance with other disc brokers.

BTW, for other day traders out there check out isld.com during trading hours for NASDAQ stocks...you can get a realtime idea of what the sentiment is by looking at limit orders

Back to lurking...

<<When I checked last, Schwab still did not have software that would handle a Mac; only Windows95.
Anyone know if this has this changed?>>

It has changed. I trade using e-Schwab software on macs as well as from their web site. The software route is much faster.

Took some of the $ I've generated writing covered calls and bought Intel this week at 83.5 looking for a quick pop to exit in the 88 area. Mistake!! Anyone have insight into Intc at this point? Not real interested in making it a foundation stock at this point.
