>>>Maxine Waters grilling Geithner about G.S.<<< Am I to understand that you would have me believe that a member of Congress actually observed that an investment bank (let's face it, Goldman is still an IB in commercial bank drag) got paid in full on its trading operation's deep in-the-money puts on AIG's rank debt....with the taxpayers' money through the TARP - or whatever other sordid mechanism??? Am I to understand that you would have me believe that having made such an observation, that a member of Congress actually understood what had happened and the implications most foul?? Am I to further understand that a member of Congress actually stood up against it?? Please don't take me for such a fool.
