Bush knew the Medicare crisis was looming with the boomers turning 65 in 2011. He knew he could not extend his tax cuts beyond 2011 because of the looming Medicare crisis. Now, in 2 years, the crisis has arrived. If Bush had not increased the debt by $5 Trillion, we would have been much better prepared to deal with that crisis. I saw it coming but boomers did not see it coming.
