I'm not sure why people are SO hung up over the difference between a C and a D. To me, they both suck.

Bush gets a D because of Tenet, Rummy, and Chertoff. But especially Tenet. All of these bureaucrats were just bad news, and Bush had the personal insight of a retarded gerbil.

This is a separate but related subject. Separate because I was talking about personnel, not policy. But related because when government has control over everything, the public has to rely on the collective wisdom of the appointed few.

Liberals have faith that if we have the right people, trillions of dollars in deficit spending will pay off in handsome dividends. OK then show me these people. Is Geithner one of them? So far it doesn't look like it.
