Very true. My wifes 19 year old cousin committed suicide many years ago. The minister who I wasn't terribly fond of said something I still remember, don't try to rationalize this in your mind because it isn't a rational act by a rational person. You will never understand for that reason so it's futile to torture yourself trying to understand. Made real sense to me. Sadly his mother who just died at New Years was unable to take that to heart and spent the last 23 years of her life trying to understand and torturing herself.

The carnage the suicide folks leave behind is often not pretty.

Same here! Dear friend shot himself in his Master bedroom. 17 yr old son found him the next morning. Come to find out he'd had 2 nervous breakdowns when he lived in cali. and was just overall mentally sick. He had been on and off medication for years. Something we never knew.

His son seems fine, but can't seem to develop a long term relationship. His daughter otoh is a total mess.
