Times had an article today on some real progress being made in afganistan tied to security being handed over to locals as opposed to national police. It seems taliban was coming into town and paying folks to put down IEDs. Folks putting them down weren not doing it for ideological reasons but for $250 American. Thats what makes it in some regards a police matter dealing with crime and not what inode thinks it is. I am still laughing my ass off with him saying taliban is not afgani. But then again he has said that Brownie did a great job during Katrina. Tell him Bush screwed up Katrina and he will produce five pages on why thats not so. The negroes did it to themselves he thinks, i think. Yes he probably still calls them Negroes. He is if nothing else the polite thinking man of the south.
