Not really. Why do you think they are in resurgence? It isn't because the NATO troops are wildly popular.

We went through this in Iraq, too. It is a meaningless exercise.

You are wrong but the argument is moot. During a war, the popular opinion of it both here and there will fluctuate with the degree of success.

You saw tejek's pathetic post yesterday about the crowd of Iraqis burning the American flag. It was as though they couldn't round up more than a few people. Two years ago, there would have been streets full of them.

This is the way it works. It is a concept the Left doesn't grasp. You guys have it in your minds that if you bash a war effort enough, the United States will walk away from it and it will collapse. We had a president who didn't fall for it, but now you know we don't. So, you people will continue to spread anti-American propaganda until your weak president bails and Afghanistan is left as the same old terrorist haven it was when we started.

Hate to say it, but "I told you so".
