That's true.

I'm actually old enough to remember all the fall of Dien Bien Phu, made a lot of noise in the media back then.

As a kid I used to go to the cinema watching those non stop shows with a healthy mix of Donald Duck, other cartoons, the 'Paramount-' and 'Fox Journals' (covered the Korea War and the fall of the French Indochina, also recall the Rosenbergs) as well as that always so boring US Cowboy 'Shantie' thing.

Of course I went for the cartoons, but the 'Journals' had great educational value and from early on opened my eyes for what's going on in the world and gave me a rough idea about how and where to spot the bad guys.
