I live in a community of 100,000 in the province of Ontario. we have medivac airplanes and helicopters flying all over this province and others ,many landing at our 450 million state of the art hospital daily..mri cat and all the best in equipment.

Nova Scotia has two air ambulances. While Ontario's operation is much larger, a very substantial portion of it is committed to transportation of non-emergency patients.

Ontario has 12 helicopters, which are normally used for emergency transport. That's about what, 1 per million?

In the small, impoverished state where I live many hospitals in towns of 10,000 will have an air ambulance.
