You should have seen the two guy clerks at B&N...I asked about the 40% discount for "Hardcover Best Sellers" if you are a Member (we are)... One said: It's totally sold out here now, and all other stores in Seattle as well, but it's not on the #1 List yet... I said "Yes it is...on Amazons list"... so they had to relook at theirs....and we all laughed. The one guy said, "well we have to have it more than a day to make a little money first".... (but I did geet 30% off) It was a perfect time for me to tell a bit about Levin's background, then say: "Boy are you at B&N going to be upset when you find out how many sales you have just lost to Amazon, all because you didn't know how good he really is AND how many people in the area AREN'T Liberals!" <ggggg>
