If Republicans were to gain a super majority like the Obama - Pelosi Administration did in 2008 they should take a lesson from Rahm Emmanuel and roll back government in big way. I-nodes first law of politics (may have been stolen from some author years ago, I don't remember): A state can move from conservative to liberal at will, but can never move from liberal to conservative. The reason for the existence of this law is that liberals will never eliminate the federal teat from which they suckle. Once we get you on Medicare, your very survival is dependent on Medicare. You're not going to give it up without a fight.
