>>Krugman's knowledge of economics is superior to Geithner but Geithner is probably more aware of the political realities.<<

I know that. But sometimes that has to be put aside to some degree. I know that game too and when I watched Geithner, I saw him be much too political in his answers and much too protective of the Wall street that really screwed us big time.

Krugman is being vitriolic IMO, because he is trying to warn us and Obama he is going down the wrong path. Galbraith and Frank Rich have done the same thing.

We need to build an atom bomb and we need the right equation; and we need people who can put it together.

If Krugman is right Geithner has the wrong equation and certainly has been too slow on the uptake. Obama likes Lincoln, well Lincoln put in Grant because Mclellan wouldn't fight.

Obama is in a fight, especially since that traitor Bayh jumped in-lol.

I see Krugman as Grant and Geithner as Mcclellan.

Pelosi picked Elizabeth Warren to oversee TARP (Harvard law professor as you know), and she is as loose a cannon as Krugman; and she has been the best of the bunch IMO.

Wall Street AKA Goldman Saks, et al, have a lot of muscel and they have been intimidating our government and that needs to stop.

Obama could at least put Galbraith, Stiglitz and Krugman on an economic committee to advise him.

That is how it is doen when one wants to put forth politically tough issues. Get a committee to recommend it.

But Rahm and who knows who else, does not like those guys. Sort of like not allowing Einstein to work on the Manhatten project.

Foolish.
