You were the one that put it "firmly on the shoulders of Kennedy and LBJ". Truman's support was based on our alliance with France who still controlled Indochina as one of its colonies when Truman was in office. It was Eisenhower who came up with the concept of the Domino theory.

I never knew where the term domino theory came from.

But I can tell you that HST's support for France was based on his belief that something equivalent to the domino theory existed. I don't know what he called it versus Eisenhower, but the concept was the same.

And the Vietnam war can be attributed to neither of them. It was JFK who turned it from a consultancy into a war.
