Mixed message about the dollar?

"The dollar pared losses versus the euro on Wednesday after U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said the dollar was likely to remain the world's reserve currency for a long time.

The U.S. dollar fell to a session low against the euro after Geithner said he was "quite open" to China's suggestion of moving toward SDR-linked currency system.

Geithner was speaking before the Council of Foreign Relations in New York."

Don't worry ElM, Mq has Qi coming on stream to replace all those anachronistic state-run kleptocratic fiat currencies based on citizen serf captives.

<Obama said: "I don't believe that there's a need for a global currency," >

Whether Big Ben, Barack, Hu Jintao, Putin/Medvedev, whoever is in charge of Japan now, Gordon/Sarkozy/Angela Merkel and the Euroserfs like it or not, their currencies are going to be reduced to local yokel status. Same for "Bring back the Aztecs" gold bugs who are betting that we'll all carry little leather pouches of gold coins to exchange for 2 chickens and a horse.
