The tone of Fleckstein article was contemptuous toward Cymer(bulbs)(no business) and hence made his desires obvious. The better lessons to be seen here is that the small investor has no friends in the analysts or big houses. In fact the small investor has become a tool of these people to shake the money tree from time to time and pick up what falls out. The market is some 40% individual investor now? Maybe some of you guys using TA can find a way around all this stuff but it does not enjoy my confidence. No, the only way for me to see my way through this maze is to find a company that is not currently in full favor of the street, with solid fundamentals, and enough future to be long on. If a stock like Cymer is being manipulated on a short term basis the companies basics will eventually win out and the short interest and manipulators will move on to other stocks. I think we could help ourselves by not being so easily shaken, smart as they are (MS & Mont.), this thread has been able to analyze the big houses moves and dissect their motives, this has served to educate the small investor if they are paying attention. If someone has negative news about a company it is only for me to determine the validity of the news or if it is an attempt to manipulate the stock, I want to hear it all, bring it on. A little conflict on the thread doesn't hurt a thing, the better proof is what I am interested in.

Ed
