Which is bust by intention. The UK or US treasury could buy auctioned bonds through their primary dealers. I wonder why they let it flail.

What are a few billions between Goldman and the Fed?

(Well.. perhaps they wisened up and agreed that the 1% ish yield is not really appealing).

Oh, looks as we are in for a weaker opening today. Market didn´t like the "Geithner Gambit" too much. FAZ up over $23 raised some eyebrows here. Luckily it can be shorted...
