Islam had them submit without firing a shot? Since Alexander the Great, a foreign army has never been able to enter Afghanistan and successfully subdue the region's tyranical war lords. Armies have criss crossed and marched to and fro in there attempts but Napolean, the Czars, the Persians, etc have all failed to end the domination of petty feudal tyrants.
