Koan, I don't think there is anyone here who argues personal choices/values with you. I'm glad to hear you honored your obligation to the tribe by caring for your mother. My father-in-law spent his last 3+ years with us, and if he were still alive, he'd still be in our home, and we (not Medicare) would still meet his every need. Like you and other board members, my wife and I make gifts and care for those in need.<<

Yes, but would you have taken in my mother if I had not lived? Of course not, so the tribe has to. she was crippled with arthritus. She could not work. but she had apid her dues to the tirbe.

And all children get a get in free card. by the tribe. Now in my world, the tribe is the entire earth. But I have always compromised with reality.

Nevertheless, I never stop thinking about all the children in the world.

We have 5% fo the worlds population and consume 25% f the worlds goods and services and pollute 25%.

Seems to me like we are not sharing very well.

That is why I want smart and compassionate tribal elders.
