It may be why Geithner wants the power to take over non banks...

Could be... or the auto companies???

I think its companies like AIG. He wants to be able to do what the FDIC can do....take over a bank on Friday and redistribute its parts over the weekend just in time for it to reopen on Monday. If we had been able to do that with AIG, he would have had a better shot at stopping those bonuses and AIG's 'retreats'.
