Perhaps you yearn for those days in arkanistan? Why dont you go back to magna carta days or columbus? What you are describing is changes in facts on the ground that create new choices between parties in each generation. I am shocked you are shocked that things have changed. I really like the way Glenn Beck breaks down into tears over what the "lefties" are doing to "his" country! You do know that back then, the conservatives were backing the British? The lefty radicals were the revolutionaries. You'd have had your nose so far up the king's ass, only your neck would show.
