Socialism isn't about gov't control of the economy

If the government controlled 80 to 90% of the economy almost no one would say you don't have a socialist system. Any amount well over 50% would probably be enough.

Okay, Tim. I sense you're trying to change the argument. You first started talking about Obama implementing regulations and increasing spending. That is not socialism. Now you're talking about 100% control of the economy.....which would include the means of production. Now that would be socialism.

Obama is proposing the former, not the latter.

If you want to recall the older distinction between socialism being the government directly owns the economy, and fascism having the government control without owning, than fine, Obama's moving us towards fascism. And actually he's still moving us towards socialism as he is increasing government ownership as well.

Come on.....you're getting silly. Obama is not fascist. Besides, fascism and socialism are on different sides of the political spectrum. Your argument is completely muddled.
