Maybe over time.

I'm looking in terms of the very long run, so a lot of time.

Think of the cost/benefits over generations or even centuries. I think it will be a plus over that time. Will it be a plus while I'm still alive? I'm not so sure, and even if I live to see real benefits I suspect my (60 something) parents may not.

Also if I see benefits, I don't think they will be anywhere near as large as some are claiming. I don't think even over the very long run, the per year or per patient net benefits will be as large. I think some of those pushing the idea exaggerate the gross benefits, and ignore or downplay the costs. Still eventually I'm pretty sure their will be a net benefit of some size.
