That's what I hear. I went to Mexico last year and got a good education from a tour guide. He practically started crying when he talked about how desperate the lower classes are. This is where I learned that a % of the money flowing in from illegals working here is stolen when it's brought into the bank for exchange. He explained how most of the real money in the country was owned by the few in the upper class. He said if you're born into the lower class you die in the lower class. Unless you can make it to America and land a decent paying job. (although even that doesn't erase the circumstances of your birth.) If you manage to do that, and despite the thievery, (these people accept that someone will take advantage of them) you send as much money home as you can in order to make the lives of your family better. Living so close to the most prosperous nation on Earth, it is understandable why they come. Knowing full well there is no chance their society is going to change, they'll do everything they can to make their lives better including and especially sneaking into our country and working as hard as they can to improve their lot in life. They could do better but they seem like helpless children and cling to their archaic society. Course it's pretty hard when there is a soldier standing on street corners with AK-47s. And no need what so ever to ask why those in power would want to change anything. They have got to love it just the way it is. People under total control. Drug money, tourist dollars, oil, money sent home via the illegal underground, and free U.S. taxpayer dollars in the form of foreign aid just flowing into their coffers.
