Actually, it is debatable. You either missed the announcement by the Federal Reserve last week or didn't understand it. They announced that they are going to buy $1.2 trillion of US Treasuries and other bonds. Now where are they getting the money? Simple, they are printing it. Usually, the resulting inflation would be a big concern, but now it likely will only counter the deflation some. Granted, they certainly can overdo this type of action. We will have to wait and see.
