We're at the point where we can begin to direct our future evolutionary and biological development. We're God as far as we're concerned. My cat disagrees.

Assuming God exists, and I think he/it does, and if you assume he/it created the earth and the universe, then we are not even at pre nursery stage. We are just barely out of the womb.....maybe one or two days.

And apparently your cat is the smart one in the family.
