When I saw the picture of his catch with the short people in the background I realized he is younger than I thought from the batting picture.

Is his father the coach?

Watch out, this kid will be making daisy pickers pay.

The rotation policy is for pre-season. We are going to reduce the rotation pretty significantly starting tomorrow.

We like to have 2 or 3 players who are trained and in the rotation for any given position. In the pre-season we give the kids a chance to play in a variety of positions, but once the formal season starts, meaning that the games count, we have to start locking down positions.

JXN's primary position is catcher. He'll also be playing either 2B or 3B and one outfield position.

At this point, JXN is the best catcher in our division, so I am going to cultivate that.

He won't be pitching anymore. Last night was your last opportunity to take pix of him on the mound. Let's just say that it is a good thing he doesn't have any desire to be a pitcher.

BTW: we kicked ass last night!!! JXN hit two for two (both really nice singles). He also made two really nice plays while at 3B.

When Thomas was playing catcher, there was a little pop foul that he missed. One of the other coaches whispered to me "JXN would have caught that".
