COPPER EXPLORATION: Pumpkin Hollow yields 0.62%

canadianminingjournal.com

NEVADA — Drilling by Vancouver-based Nevada Copper at its Pumpkin Hollow copper property southeast of Carson City has intersected mineralization averaging 0.62% Cu over a true width of 196.2 metres. Another infill hole returned several zones, the best of which was 2.65% Cu over 11.7 metres. Earlier drilling returned a grade of 1.03% Cu over 235.6 metres.

Pumpkin Hollow is a high-grade skarn associated with a cluster of porphyry deposits in the western corner of the state. Investigated since 1960, the property was acquired by Nevada Copper in 2005. The company is proceeding to the feasibility study stage.

An updated 43-101-compliant resource estimate including recent results and over 26,600 meters of drilling done in 2008 is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2009. Check for it at www.NevadaCopper.com. Earlier contained metal estimates included 7.9 billion lb of copper (0.2% cutoff), 1.3 million oz of gold, 57.0 million oz of silver and 130.6 million tonnes of iron.
