Medicare is a ticking time bomb. But SS is very solid. People usually conflate the two in an attempt to claim SS is facing a crisis, which it is not. I know...we've been round and round on this topic here at least a dozen times...it always devolves into a shouting match where inode walks away with a pedantic tutorial full of absolutes and insults, but which never ever suggests an alternative that solves any of these complex problems.
