as i remember there are all kinds of combinations for payments under part b. for example i pay very little under part b but i have an out of pocket and aetna pays 80% of what medicare doesn't pay,, however, my medical expenses are two physicals a year and blood testing. at least for last two decades. others i know pay almost $400 more a month to avoid deductibles.. in my case i would never break even.. and they do not either unless they are running up medical bills.
