The CIA controls a lot in DC. For one thing, the CIA is like a private security force for corporate America carrying out their agenda, and corporate America influences the government greatly. Also, the CIA probably has all sorts of dirty laundry on politicians that they can air via their paid media outlets (yes, many journalists are on the CIA payroll) if they need to influence politics in DC. The fact that they got away with the drug running cocaine planeloads into LA in the 1980s says a lot about their power over DC. Only the CIA can fly planes full of coke into the U.S., get caught, and walk away with no punishment. A bunch of criminals they are. The government goon squad.
