Inode is a rejectionist and thus will root against obama even if it works or more importantly even if failure is detrimental to the country--its just so obvious that its more important for him to be right.

The issue is what I consider to be "working" versus what you consider to be "working".

I don't consider it to be a good thing if Obama claims he is going to cut the deficit in half then proposes a budget with a full decade of trillion dollar deficits -- every last one of which is higher than any budget deficit in history before he took office. THAT is not "working".

No matter what happens, that is a fiscal disaster. He can blame it on Bush from now on, but Bush NEVER ONCE turned in a trillion dollar budget deficit. Never.

There seems to be a consistent absence of a "social gene" in these folks. It's the "i have got mine" school of politics.

It has less to do with his views than his closed mindedness that drives folks here crazy

I'm sorry but his views are part of the problem as well. For an example, he thinks Iraq is a thing of beauty. Over the years, no matter what disaster has befallen our efforts there, he spins it into something positive so that his POV remains intact. I don't think inode is a bad guy......just someone still back somewhere around 1980. That means he's still fighting the Cold War...but in Iraq, not Russia.
