I wish the young man well. I have a good friend here who's a very successful Realtor. His son was like the kid you mention. Dad bought him a twin engine Piper to log time in. He had all the ratings for a commercial pilot, including instrument. After two years of applying to one company after another, including corporate positions, he finally gave up his desire and sold the airplane. Seems these positions tend to go to former military pilots, where they have been faced with real tests.
