I watched it. 2003, 2004, 2005, May of 2006, Both Houses of Congress controlled by Republicans. House and Senate Banking Committees controlled by Republicans. Bill made it out of committee but was not brought up for a vote even though Republicans controlled the Congress and the White House. Fannie and Freddie were buying subprime mortgages - not issuing subprime mortages.
