CDMA and GSM are morphing into one thanks in great part to Qualcomm. Eventually all phones will work all over the world seamlessly.........at least that is the goal.

CDMA is a superior technology. GSM could be equated with analog tv signals as opposed to CDMA which could be equated to digital signals. Simple, but pretty apt description.

Interestingly, Europe (GSM) has been fighting progress (Qualcomm) They want to use it, but they don't want to pay for it.
