Before GW2k uses the new-looking case (stupid IMO), it is also a very open system. I think Dell Dimension and Micron is still using standard ATX case with standard components, easily to upgrade. I found it is cheaper to buy from GW2k, DELL, Micron iif (iif == if and only if) you want all the softwares and features comes with the system. In our office, half the system are custom-built, half are from Compaq, Dell. I use GW2k for myself.

Oh, if you like to fiddle, never ever buy a Compaq, they don't build for fun, they build for work! I mean working for 10 years without a failure.

Hope your wiring is category-5 certified. This is needed for fast-ethernet.
