If anyone has read the studies done on the stop light cameras you'd know they actually increase rear end accidents, do not reduce intersection accidents, and are mainly used as a tool to generate income for the municipalities.

They are not installed for safety. They are installed to produce revenue.

It's typical for the installation to speed up the yellow light by a few seconds to increase the number of red light violations at the expense of safety.

Talk to people in Mesa, Arizona and ask how they've felt about them.

The manufacturers are the ones pushing these on the municipalities, and they are pushing revenue, not safety.
