a kid runs off with the last cookie from the table. we can say that his act is a consequence of something else. but we can't say if the act or consequence was the result of greed. it may or may not be. if the kid ran off and ate the cookie we can probably in most cases say he was greedy. but if he ran off with the cookie and gave it to his dying grandmother, would you say he was greedy? greed is an emotion whose consequence or action can't be judged without knowing the intent. consequences or actions alone can be judged in different ways. but if you're looking for greed, you need to know the intent.
